Music Management

Bill began developing his musical management skills in the early 00's - after decades of amateur musical effort. Since then he and his artists have worked with performers as diverse as Big Vern 'n' the Shootahs, Horse, Maeve O'Boyle, The Nimmo Brothers, KT Tunstall, Ricky Ross, Pixie Lott, The Proclaimers, The Skids, Newton Faulkner and many, many more. Bill currently manages Nightshift and The BigNiteOut Horns - one of the busiest hi-end wedding and function bands in Scotland. He also works with ex-KT Tunstall vocalist Tracey Braithwaite to manage The Gospel Truth Choir - default choice for gospel vocals in Scotland, and the amazing young vocalist Maria Doherty. As a member of Americana band OneDay40 Bill's songwriting and production talent was recognised with "Best Album of the Year" by the British Country Music Hall of Fame. Non-Executive and Management Consulting

Bill has years of experience at Board level in both executive and non-executive roles - in private and public sectors. He was part of the first tranche of external non-executives appointed to core Scottish Government departments, and is now involved at board level with public sector bodies in both Scottish and UK Government. His entrepreneurial and commercial years gave him essential skills in strategic business planning and operations management, marketing and communications/PR - and consolidated his interest in people. Since moving to the public sector he has become a recognised specialist in Audit Committee, Risk Management and senior executive HR, who has contributed significantly to good governance through critical friendship.
