OneDay40 are an Americana/Southern Rock band from Glasgow in Scotland. Billy (bass), George (lead vocals), John (guitars) and Andy (drums) first met in BritCountry band Evangeline, a band that achieved two UK Country number ones and a string of great live performances in the early years of this decade. With credits under their belt which included the National Stadium in Glasgow, and the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the guys gained a reputation for great songwriting and an energetic stage show.
OneDay40 was formed in 2005 shortly after the demise of Evangeline, primarily as a vehicle to continue the songwriting partnership that John and Billy had formed, but very soon resulted in studio sessions and a number of critically acclaimed live shows. The album "Unfinished Business", recorded under Paul McGeechan's watchful eye at the famous Park Lane Studios in Glasgow, and released in the UK, was a result of this collaboration, featuring a number of outstanding session performances from players on the Glasgow scene. One of these session performers was vocalist Tracey, who had just finished touring with Horse and performing with KT Tunstall, and in January 2009 she formally joined the band.
OneDay40 have always enjoyed things Americana, so were delighted in February 2009 when they attracted the attention of Nashville's Colt Records - resulting in their signing to that label and a planned release of a new version of "Unfinished Business" in the US.
