Bill and Geraldine Matthews :
Geraldine Matthews, Director
- held leadership positions with Motorola
Semiconductors and Compaq in engineering, marketing, service and
product management disciplines over an 18 year spell in the
hi-tech world. Holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and a MBA.
An expert in the creation of processes and logistics for office
management, and a very capable book-keeper (Sage) working for a
number of clients.
Bill Matthews, Director
- held positions to Director level with
Motorola Semiconductors in Scotland and USA, running businesses
and leading engineering teams over a 15 year period. Became
Chief Executive of VC-backed Sigtronics Limited, a start-up in the
Electronics sector, leading through good times and bad.
Co-founded Invint Limited in 2003, a company which developed
innovative processes for electronics manufacture. Holds
Bachelors degrees in Electronics, Psychology, an MBA, and
a Diploma in Music. A Chartered Engineer and a member of the
Chartered Institute of Marketing. Skilled general manager and
marketer, clear strategist and good communicator (excellent PR
manager). Particular interest in
decision
making techniques and processes. Is a non-executive director
and chair of audit for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal
Service in Scotland, a member of the Audience Council for
Scotland (BBC), member of the audit committee of the Environment
and Rural Affairs Department of the Scottish Executive, and a
director of record label Randan. In
November 2005 Bill was seconded by the Finance Minister of the
Scottish Executive onto a project team evaluating opportunities
for headroom in Executive spending.
