New coaching partnership with

University Hospital Southampton

M2M2® has partnered with University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) to provide coaching accreditation and to develop an organisational Coaching Culture.

The programmes embrace a Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring to create an internal coaching faculty, plus a project running for a year from February 2023 to embed a ‘coaching culture’ throughout the trust, including ILM Levels 3, 5 and 7.

UHS Head of Organisational Development, Andy Moss, explained: 'Coaching and coaching conversations are already established and important tools for staff within the trust. There is not however an embedded ‘coaching culture’. This important new partnership with M2M2 will deepen our understanding of coaching and develop our own capabilities by creating a pool of accredited workplace coaches and coaching interventions.'

'A UHS culture characterised by asking more questions and really listening to the response, rather than telling, is just a better way to have many – most – conversations,” believes UHS Leadership Development Manager and Executive Coach Caroline Nesbitt. “And helping someone ‘see the wood for the trees’ by supporting them with their thinking is just a brilliant privilege.'

M2M2’s Managing Director (Commercial), Tony Robinson, welcomed the award after a full tendering process as an important new milestone in the company’s expansion into the NHS. He said: 'These new contracts build on our existing work with other NHS trusts and confirm the relevance of our coaching and mentoring offer to hard-stretched health professionals.'
