Silver Employee Recognition Scheme award

Silver Employee Recognition Scheme award

Made to Measure Mentoring (M2M2) has added the Silver Award of the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme to the Bronze Award we achieved in 2019. The scheme recognises employers who actively support defence personnel in initiatives such as employing reservists and veterans.

" The breadth and diversity of the winners this year shows how business support for the Armed Forces continues to grow no matter the sector, company or location. I am grateful for the positive attitude and flexible policies these organisations have adopted towards the defence community, which is a testament to the fantastic contribution our serving personnel, veterans and their families can make to any organisation.

I am delighted that so many companies are supporting our people and that, through this scheme, we can give them the public recognition they deserve"

Johnny Mercer, Minister for Defence, People and Veterans

M2M2’s Managing Director, Commercial, Tony Robinson said he was delighted for the whole company that its efforts had been acknowledged. He said: ‘M2M2 is fully committed to the Armed Forces community and the unique skills its members bring. In support of this we offer opportunities at all levels. One of our earliest associate employees was a full-time Reservist, and a husband and wife worked for us as they transitioned from regular service.

‘We were also Platinum Sponsor of the British Army’s first official rowing team, Force Atlantic, providing financial support, mentoring and preparatory physiological testing to the crew that rowed the Atlantic.’

In announcing this year’s winners, Johnny Mercer, UK Government Minister for Defence People and Veterans, said: ‘I am delighted that so many companies are supporting our people and that, through this scheme, we can give them the recognition they deserve. I am grateful for the positive attitude and flexible policies these organisations have adopted towards the defence community, which is testament to the fantastic contribution our service personnel, veterans and their families can make to any organisation.’
