Richard Hicks
Course Deliverer and Senior Assessor

Richard has been an educator and trainer since 1992. He has owned and managed several businesses, including health and fitness clubs, and helped develop pioneering GP referral programs and training provisions. He partnered with further education colleges to deliver funded leadership and apprenticeship programs. Additionally, he served as Technical Director for several internet companies, where he created training and educational pathways.

 

Richard has also held multiple roles in high-performance sport, including Head of Performance for the Arab World Rally Team in the WRC, and serving on the Sports Medicine Board at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships for 20 years, where he was instrumental in the design and management of the player training and recovery facilities. He also led the fitness management team for a professional rugby team and was recently the Head Coach of a Spanish Rugby National League Club based in Barcelona.

 

Richard is a qualified teacher with a Master’s in Sports Coaching and holds an ILM Coaching and Mentoring Level 7 qualification, and is currently working towards his ILM Supervision Level 7. He also holds Trainer at Mentor Status with the RFU, along with Vocational Internal and External Assessment qualifications.

 

Finally, Richard is a Senior Assessor for M2M2s Level 7 Coaching and Mentoring qualifications, delivering and assessing programs for the British Army, NATO, NHS, and University Hospital Southampton.
