M2M2 has launched an online coaching and mentoring course specifically designed for the NHS, which is currently being trialled by the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.

The NHS Level 3 Coaching and Mentoring course will help NHS staff ‘improve the way they work and deliver healthcare, and reduce the increasing pressure they currently experience,’ according to project champion Mr Bhavin Visavadia, Senior Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Trust.

He said: ‘I have completed this and other levels and have found that they have improved my professional relationships and daily conversations. The work has helped me in teaching and teaching sessions, in meetings, and while appraising and being appraised.’ He added that the coaching and mentoring approach ‘develops trust and fosters better relationships. It is the deeper listening and empathy people show that will improve their interactions.’

M2M2’s Managing Director (Commercial), Tony Robinson congratulated the company’s course design team, saying: ‘At a time when the NHS is under unprecedented pressure, we are delighted to be able to offer an approach designed specifically to support front-line NHS staff as well as providing relevant and practical capabilities to wider health service management teams. Our focus on a coaching and mentoring approach will also foster emotionally intelligent leadership and management, and promote cultural evolution within the NHS.’
